 Elizabeth Gamble Garden

The Gamble Garden Center is located at the corner of Embarcadero Road and Waverly Avenue in Palo Alto. The garden occupies over two acres of land with two Colonial style buildings surrounded by garden and trees. The houses was build in 1902 for a banker named Edwin Percy Gamble, grandson of one of the founders of Procter & Gamble Company. The garden is now owned by the City of Palo Alto and maintained by volunteers.

This is a working garden maintained by volunteers. Near the center of the garden stands a white gazebo (see photo below). This is a popular spot for wedding photos.

Visit Gamble Garden Center and take a docent-led tour (at a small fee): 1431 Waverly Street. Phone number is 650-329-1356.
